Our Mission: To create eBook Libraries in hospitals and medical centers to promote the happiness and healing of pediatric patients.
The Pediatric eBook Library Project began at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. University Hospital’s Pediatric Playroom was in need of books, but there were concerns about the spread of infectious disease from child to child. An eBook Library offered a solution that was compact and easy to disinfect.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Once the library was established, it became clear that many other institutions and medical centers could greatly benefit from similar libraries. Thus, the project was born!
We encourage all institutions that care for pediatric patients to create a library. We believe that the joy of a good story can bring great comfort to children- and adults, too!
